👸🏽Today I was reminded that receiving my citizenship from #SierraLeone is my BIRTHRIGHT! [I am actually GALACTIC...but that is another post, for another time.]

🧚🏾‍♀️ I know I will be changed emotionally, spiritually, and physically (...cause I'm tryn'a get this tan poppin'☀️😎🌊)

🙊 I'm only 11 days from stepping foot in #SierraLeone! For #TBT, I'm reminiscing on my time in #Cameroon...

👸🏽 The Ambassador to Cameroon blessed me with the name Goyzam which means "The Beloved One." #Boom 😎

🌍 I wrote my name(s) in the sand at Limbe Beach and gave an offering to my grandmother ancestor, the one who'd been kidnapped from her home land but who lives thru me and #TheSydSyd!

🇨🇲 The people accepted us with open arms.

🤕 After surgery and a hospitalization nightmare three weeks ago, I told myself once I got out of that hospital bed, I was going to live my life more loudly, lavishly, and lit!
💃🏿👸🏽🦋

**#TheSydSyd would side-eye me if she knew I used the term 'lit.' Anyhoo...🤷🏽‍♀️🙄

🙌🏽 Don't get me wrong, my life is already full of freakin' awesome family and friends, projects, and just plain fun, but there is still more to experience and enjoy.

📗 If you read my book, From Jersey To Me: The Awakening & Healing of a Goddess, you will remember that I was adopted and traced my maternal ancestry to the #Mafa people of #Cameroon 🇨🇲 and my paternal side to the #Temne people of #SierraLeone 🇸🇱on my paternal side. (Cop one 🙃 wendicherry.com/book)

🌍 In October 2015, I even visited Cameroon! Now, the journey of self-discovery continues, in two weeks, as I travel on the inaugural African Ancestry Family Reunion trip to Sierra Leone! We will take naturalization classes to learn about the culture, people, history, government, and more! We will also celebrate Sierra Leone's 60th Independence Day from Great Britain on April 27.

🙊How dope is that? I am super excited to see what is next on this journey!
