The Winter Solstice of 2017 changed the trajectory of my life! For the first time, I decided to participate in a Winter Solstice celebration via Facebook with 3,000 other women. We set intentions, gave thanks for the blessings of the past year and released long-held baggage. It was at that very moment that I became aware of The Institute of Integrative Nutrition – I felt inspired to enroll in their year-long program to become a Certified Integrative Health Coach! Fast forward to now and I have finished my studies and am embarking on this path full time…and already seeing private clients + patients at The Institute of Multidimensional Medicine!
What’s the Winter Solstice…I’m glad you asked! The Winter Solstice (December 21-24) is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year. It occurs when one of the Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt away from the Sun. It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere. (source)
It is also a great time to go within, to become quiet and still and give thanks for the lessons learned in 2018 and ask for guidance and set intentions for 2019. Disengage from the anxieties and stresses of daily life during the holidays by disconnecting from social media, and turning your phone off for a few hours to become present in the moment.
Write a love letter to 2018, noting all of the lessons learned, the biggest breakthrough, and your action plan for 2019! To make it easy-breezy, I have created a free downloadable template for you to get started over the next few days to harness the energy of this season! Say thank you to ALL of the experiences of 2018…the love, the loss, the blessings, and hard-won lessons. They all came to serve us in some way.
Clear out the old to make room for the new. I stand and agree with you that 2019 will be your most joyful, healthy, abundant, pleasurable, love and light-filled year EVER!
Peace,
Wendi
