Sisterhood, Leadership & Service, Administrator’s Retreat

I was so honored to share a Goddess Gathering: The Administrative Retreat Edition this week at the New Heights Academy Charter School in Harlem, NY.  The theme was Service, Leadership & Sisterhood and I encouraged the committed administrative staff to move from their heads into their hearts as they serve the precious 753 brown and black children at the school.  Them showing up as confident and compassionate leaders is key in breaking some of the generational issues plaguing the students and families in their Spanish Harlem neighborhood. We had a few laughs, shed a few tears and came to the understanding that our oxygen mask has to be secure before we can support others.
