I was honored to be a featured author at the Elegba Folklore Society’s Black Book Expo in Richmond, Va.
I shared my journey to #AwakenAndHeal, gain self-love and acceptance, including my search to find my biological family and African ancestry using the African Ancestry DNA test. I share reflections on my trips to Cameroon and Kemet to connect with my maternal ancestral grandmother.
