We continued with the Valentine’s Day theme and expanded it to a self-love fest! \nDay One: The Family & Friends Edition\nHosted by my gracious family\, the Family & Friends edition included food\, laughter\, and easy-breezy fun! It was a great way to connect both sides of my family for the first time. \nDay Two: The Self-Love Fest\nThe backdrop for day two was the beautiful blk Temple. The vibe was perfect as friends\, former colleagues and family filled the space and learned how to approach their wellness using a mind\, body\, and spirit approach. Tips included: \n\nThe importance of being intentional about touching and making eye contact with other human beings since we have a tendency to rely on our technology to communicate.\nTaking the time to allow our intuition to guide us as we make decisions and to learn that no is a complete sentence.\nThat ancestor veneration is important and supports our decision making and that creating an altar in our home is healing.\nListen Altars: Honoring our Ancestors HERE on The Sanctuary Radio Show.

DESCRIPTION:🍁The Autumn Equinox Gathering was empowering and beautiful. We used The Circle of Life tool to gauge areas in our lives where we can concentrate on or request additional support during this time of introspection and reflection. \n🍁@Candace led us in a grounding breathing and movement exercise to help us release any tension and become present in and appreciate the moment and our bodies. \n🍁@Risikat provided a beautiful backdrop + a basket of roses\, lavender and other herbs and spices for us to give as offerings and we released a purple Japanese lantern into the night sky. \n🍁The Goddesses trekked to the water in silent meditation and once there planted seeds for the future and were encouraged to release the things no longer serving us. …and en route there and back\, and due to my weird foot phobia\, Risikat and Ty both carried me on their backs\, yes\, y’all carried me on their backs across the muddy\, standing water otherwise\, I’d of missed that part. I know\, I know\, I need to get my life together. \n🍁The night ended with Ayanna\, Free and Yes-Iam Lili Wilson blessing us with songs to remind us of our power as women of African descent\, that we are the healers\, the change-makers\, the original mothers\, around the bonfire while the moon beamed thru the trees. We talked about the power of learning how to incorporate self-preservation into a daily routine and that being a martyr isn’t a sustainable action.  My real life\, big sister\, Cher Carter-Hyppolite\, (Third Eye Woke) presented a powerful mindfulness meditation for us while we enjoyed a relaxing and detoxifying foot bath provided by our host\, De Lacy Jackson.

SUMMARY:Sisterhood\, Leadership & Service\, Administrator's Retreat
DESCRIPTION:I was so honored to share a Goddess Gathering: The Administrative Retreat Edition this week at the New Heights Academy Charter School in Harlem\, NY.  The theme was Service\, Leadership & Sisterhood and I encouraged the committed administrative staff to move from their heads into their hearts as they serve the precious 753 brown and black children at the school.  Them showing up as confident and compassionate leaders is key in breaking some of the generational issues plaguing the students and families in their Spanish Harlem neighborhood. We had a few laughs\, shed a few tears and came to the understanding that our oxygen mask has to be secure before we can support others.

SUMMARY:Goddess Gathering: The Spring Equinox Edition
DESCRIPTION:I finally soft-launched my baby\, The Goddess Awakening & Healing Sanctuary health coaching business!  In the room were some of my most favorite people in the world. Though the day was rainy\, we had a wonderful time of healing and release with lots of love\, laughter\, tears\, hugs and sisterhood. After a great meal we welcomed our maternal ancestors into our space by sharing our fondest memories of them and asking for guidance in the meeting. Then we did an exercise that helps us to see where we can bring balance into our lives. Anisha\, my Co-Goddess hostess shared how important it is to dream your most awesome vision right before you go to bed…And Scene!  Lastly\, we each selected an affirmation to meditate on throughout the week. It was a true blessing and I can’t wait for the next one. Shout out to all of my Goddess-Sisters who came to support me on this labor of pure love!
